Flushing 2025 is an initiative to develop a next generation infrastructure and hyperconnected city in central Queens


Flushing 2025 is a series of research projects initially conceived in 2001 as a smarter community where businesses and individuals are more digital, productive, prosperous, and secure. Business plans are currently being formulated for the implantation of a smarter community in the heart of Queens, NYC. Project goals include development of free ubiquitous communications, smart and scalable business infrastructure designed to natively support technology disruptions, high tech urban planning, technology research and development, natural disaster preparedness, and community integration with the smart grid via decentralized energy control systems. The result will be a leading edge business community and a sustainable cybersociety.
